Osun Poll: Your Allegations Of Political Victimisation Against Tinubu, Oyetola Misplaced, Frivolous – APC Slams Adeleke
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has accused the state Governor, Ademola Adeleke, of needlessly blaming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the immediate-past governor of the state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, of being responsible for his political woes.
NAIJAONPOINT reports that Adeleke, during a campaign rally in Osogbo on Monday, urged President Tinubu to wade in on the political crisis rocking the state.
Adeleke alleged that Oyetola and some APC chieftains were behind the alleged killing of members of the Accord Party in the state.
He questioned the reason for what he called ‘political persecution’ despite the fact that he and members of the Accord Party in the state have endorsed the president for re-election.
Adeleke, who also accused the police of compromise, said, “Why are they killing us? Osun will not accept any rigging. We will go out en masse and defend our votes.
“Why is our money being kept? Oyetola needs to be called to order. I have done very well for my state. The blood of those killed will not allow those responsible for it to rest in peace.”
Reacting in a statement by its spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, the APC said the governor was responsible for fuelling, promoting and bankrolling political violence in the state.
“The unsubstantiated allegations of the puppet Governor Adeleke, who covers his inadequacy by resorting to dancing when injection of intellect is needed against President Tinubu, and Oyetola are misplaced and frivolous, as such amount to making a justification for his imminent defeat in the forthcoming governorship election,” the statement noted.
The APC accused the governor of granting amnesty to some of the dangerous political thugs serving various jail terms in the correctional centres across the state.

“The main problem with Governor Adeleke is that competition is strange to him, which is the reason he is crying of political persecution all over the place without any tangible proof to establish his frivolous allegations,” Olabisi said.
“Why the worry if it is true that Governor Adeleke has done well for his state, as the forthcoming 15th August, 2026 governorship election will be a yardstick to measure his claim in this regard?”, the statement asked.
On allegations that the state money was being kept and that Oyetola needed to be called to order, the statement noted that the allegations are devoid of meaningful comprehension in the estimation of any discerning minds.
“It is the fear of his imminent loss of the forthcoming governorship election that is dawning on the confused governor who is thinking that his needless whipping up of sentiment would effect any change in the election outcome that is strategically positioned to be won by our hardworking and pragmatic governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO.
“The reward of hard work is success, which is the fundamental reason our candidate is not bargaining for less when Governor Adeleke was wining and dining and frolicking with women of easy virtues across the globe in the name of sourcing for elusive foreign investors for close to four years,” the APC noted.
