Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has criticized the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) President, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, for opposing the Osun State Government’s ban on union activities.
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke suspended NURTW operations across motor parks in the state and halted levy collections following violent clashes between rival factions.
Speaking through his deputy, Aliyu Issa Ore, MC Oluomo rejected the suspension, arguing that state governors lack the legal authority to halt the activities of a national union.
Reacting to the union leader’s statement, Davido, who is the governor’s nephew, mocked MC Oluomo on social media over his comments regarding the state government’s executive order.
