Delta: Police, LG Councils Clamp Down On Unauthorised Parks, Garages In Asaba

The Delta State Police Command, in collaboration with the Oshimili North and South Local Government authorities, has commenced an enforcement train towards unauthorised parks and garages working inside the Asaba metropolis.
Vibrant Edafe, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Delta State Command, who confirmed the train, mentioned the operation , which started on Monday, July 20 2926, focused unlawful parks and garages which have contributed to visitors congestion, insecurity, and disorderly conduct throughout town, in addition to making a festering floor for crimes by permitting the sending of unchecked parcels as waybills.
Edafe , a Superintendent of Police (SP), disclosed that in the course of the train, 9 unlawful parks had been dismantled at strategic places: “one at Pinnacle Junction alongside Okpanam Street, two on the Summit space, three on the Koka space and three others on the Head Bridge axis boundary between Delta and Anambra States.”
He mentioned a complete of 45 automobiles had been impounded in the course of the enforcement train, including that these automobiles have been handed over to the Local Government authorities for attainable prosecution in accordance with current legal guidelines and rules.
