DevElevate has secured a new partnership with Visa Foundation to provide scholarships for aspiring technology professionals and expand access to its career-focused training programmes.
Through the partnership, the foundation will sponsor 3,000 learners over the next three years, covering for selected participants across training tracks such as software development, data analytics, product management, cybersecurity, UI/UX design, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
The scholarship initiative is designed to remove financial barriers that prevent talented individuals from accessing quality technology education. Priority will be given to [young people, women, career changers, recent graduates, or individuals from underserved communities] who demonstrate strong potential and commitment to building careers in technology.
Speaking about the partnership, Ahmed Anifowose, Lead, DevElevate said: “Many talented people want to build careers in technology but cannot afford the training and support required to get started. This partnership will help us remove that barrier and give more learners access to practical skills, experienced mentors, and meaningful career opportunities.”
Scholarship recipients will participate in an intensive programme combining instructor-led training, practical assignments, portfolio development, mentorship, collaborative projects, and career-readiness support. They will also gain access to networking opportunities, internships, and potential employment pathways through the community’s industry partners.

The partnership is expected to expand DevElevate’s reach across West Africa and support its broader goal of developing an inclusive, skilled, and globally competitive technology workforce.
