Ekiti NYSC Boss Visits Fire Service HQ, Seeks Fumigation Support, Other Collaboration For Camp

In furtherance of efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships ahead of the forthcoming NYSC Orientation Course, Mr. Adeola Abiodun Ige, the Ekiti State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has paid a courtesy visit to the State Command of the Federal Fire Service.
The visit formed part of the State Coordinator’s ongoing statewide familiarisation tour to engage critical stakeholders and reinforce collaboration towards the successful implementation of the Scheme’s programmes in the state.
Speaking during the visit to the Command Headquarters in Ado-Ekiti, Ige lauded the Federal Fire Service for its consistent support to the NYSC Scheme, particularly for deploying competent and experienced officers to the Orientation Camp to educate Corps Members on fire prevention and safety measures.
He emphasised the need to further strengthen the existing cordial relationship between both organisations, noting that such collaboration remains vital to ensuring the safety and well-being of Corps Members and camp officials.
The State Coordinator also appealed to the Command to assist in fumigating the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp ahead of the forthcoming 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course, as part of efforts to provide a safe, healthy and conducive environment for all participants.
Responding, DCF Olatunji Olumide James, the Ekiti State Comptroller of the Federal Fire Service, welcomed Mr. Ige and congratulated him on his appointment as the NYSC State Coordinator.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining its longstanding partnership with the NYSC and assured the Coordinator of continued support in achieving the Scheme’s objectives.
The Comptroller also pledged to honour the request for the fumigation of the Orientation Camp and promised even stronger collaboration in future engagements.
The courtesy visit further highlights the commitment of the NYSC Ekiti State Secretariat to foster productive relationships with key stakeholders as preparations intensify for a successful and hitch-free Orientation Course.
