FCT road infrastructure not for APC members alone – Akpabio

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Tuesday assured that roads constructed in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, are meant for all Nigerians and not for only one political party.
Akpabio assured that President Bola Tinubu doesn’t discriminate when it comes to road infrastructure across the country.
He spoke during the commissioning of the newly constructed Transit Way N2 from Central Business District to Wuse District with two bridges to mark Tinubu’s third year in office.
Akpabio, who represented Tinubu at the Presidential event said: “I remembered that I once has a governor in my state after me who was not very proud of the name of his grand father, so he made sure that the name was totally missing, he just used his baptismal first name, the name his family gave him and that was the end, he didn’t mention the grand father because he was not proud of the family.
“So you, Wike, are sitting there and telling me that as I’m coming to talk don’t mention your grandfather, so I’m not going to mention the PDP, my grandfather.
“So let me assure you the distinguished invites and stakeholders of our great nation, the administrators of the FCT, senators, Reps members that these roads are not meant for one political party, they are meant for all Nigerians, residents of the FCT and visitors alike.
“The President does not discriminate when it comes to infrastructure and that was why he put Mr project in charge of FCT with a single mandate, he said go there and do what you know how to do best.
“Your track record as governor of Rivers State, your track record as Minister of education in Nigeria proved clearly that you will not disappoint and you have not disappointed us.”
