Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to Austria, Florence Ajimobi, has formally commenced her diplomatic mission in Vienna after presenting her Copie d’Usage to Austria’s Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Maximilian Hennig.
The presentation of the Copie d’Usage marks the official commencement of Ambassador Ajimobi’s diplomatic engagement in Austria and paves the way for the formal presentation of her Letters of Credence to the President of Austria, a constitutional requirement before she can fully assume her duties as Nigeria’s ambassador.
With the diplomatic formalities underway, Ambassador Ajimobi is expected to spearhead Nigeria’s bilateral relations with Austria while also representing the country’s interests before key international organisations headquartered in Vienna.
Her responsibilities include deepening diplomatic ties, promoting trade and investment, expanding economic and cultural cooperation, engaging with the Nigerian community in Austria, and advancing Nigeria’s positions in multilateral institutions.
