Former Kebbi Deputy Governor Ibrahim Khalid Aliyu Dies

Former Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Khalid Aliyu, has died.

Aliyu, who served as deputy governor under former Governor Saidu Usman Dakingari between 2007 and 2015, reportedly died in Sokoto after a prolonged illness related to diabetes.

His death was confirmed on Friday by an indigene of Yauri Emirate, Alhaji Shehu Mohammed Yauri.

Reacting to the development, Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris described the late Aliyu’s death as a painful loss to his family, Yauri Emirate and the people of Kebbi State.

The governor said the former deputy governor distinguished himself as a career civil servant and later as deputy governor, earning respect for his dedication to public service and his contributions to the development of the state.

Idris prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family the strength to bear the loss.
