Group To Mobilise 27m Votes For Tinubu’s Re-election
The All Support Groups Network for APC (ASGN), in collaboration with The Progressive Institute (TPI-Abuja), has launched a grand strategic mobilisation campaign to secure 27 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at next year’s polls.
The initiative, according to the organisers, is designed to reach every village, market, farm, and street across the country to support the continuity of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The national coordinator and chief executive officer of ASGN, Alhaji Mukhtar Bala, disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja.
He said the mobilisation campaign and the pre-launch of a new book, jointly organised by ASGN and TPI-Abuja, were part of efforts to reflect on the journey and achievements of the Tinubu administration over the past three years.
Bala said the campaign would be implemented in partnership with organisations representing key sectors of Nigeria’s productive population.
“To achieve this, we are moving in lockstep with our esteemed partner organisations who represent the core of our productive population,” he said.
He identified the partners as the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), which he described as the foot soldiers of the nation’s food security drive; the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN), which he said was at the forefront of the country’s drive toward self-sufficiency; and the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), which he described as a vital link in urban transportation and the grassroots economy.
Others, according to him, include the Sugarcane Farmers and Producers Association of Nigeria (SUFAPAN), which he said was driving agro-industrial expansion; the Gold Miners, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria, which he described as a key player in economic diversification and the development of the solid minerals sector; and the Cooperative Federation of Nigeria.
“Through these six pillars, we shall reach every village, every market, every farm, and every street to secure the 27 million mandates needed to keep Nigeria on the path of progress,” Bala said.
He further explained that the book’s pre-launch was intended to document the achievements of the Tinubu administration and serve as a tool for public enlightenment.
“To further solidify President Tinubu’s legacy, we are here for the pre-launch of a landmark book that meticulously chronicles these milestones, ensuring that the successes of his administration are documented for history and used as a tool for public enlightenment,” he said.
Bala also expressed appreciation to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, for his support and contributions to the initiative.
He said the book highlights what he described as the administration’s major achievements, ranging from infrastructure development and economic stabilisation to the expansion of social safety nets.
“From the massive infrastructural revolution to the stabilisation of our economy and the expansion of social safety nets, these illustrations provide visual evidence of a Nigeria that is steadily rising,” he said.
