Nigerian-born UK lawyer Baron Chymaker has announced that he has officially submitted his application to renounce his Nigerian citizenship and is now awaiting government approval.
Sharing the update on X, Baron revealed that his lawyer in Nigeria confirmed the application had been submitted to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SSGF) and that all required fees had been paid.
“I have today received a confirmation from my lawyer in Nigeria that my application to renounce my Nigerian Citizenship has been submitted to the SSFG and all fees paid as appropriate.
“I cannot wait for the approval.”
