The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has temporarily restricted its consular, passport and visa services to emergency cases only until Sunday, July 19, citing administrative reasons.In an official notice, the Embassy said only applicants who can provide documents proving the urgency of their request will be allowed to access services during this period.The emergency services available include Tatkal passport issuance, NRI certificates, short-validity passports for applicants whose Civil ID is nearing expiry, Emergency Certificates and e-Visas.The Embassy clarified that applications for normal passports, attestations and regular visas will not be accepted or processed until the temporary restrictions are lifted.It also announced that all Indian Consular Application Centres (ICAC) in Kuwait will remain closed for accepting applications until further notice.People requiring emergency assistance have been asked to visit the Embassy’s Consular Wing between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon, where officials will handle only genuine emergency requests supported by the necessary documents.The Embassy said further updates will be issued in due course and advised the Indian community in Kuwait to follow its official communication channels and social media platforms for the latest information.
