Isaac Fayose slams Okowa over ‘Diversion Of ₦1.3 Trillion Delta Funds’

Web persona Isaac Fayose has taken a swipe on the former governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for allegedly diverting about ₦1.3 trillion belonging to the Delta State Government.
In a video posted on his Fb web page, Isaac, who’s the youthful brother of the previous governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose, criticised Okowa for alleged fraud.
He stated, “No one probes Governors; even Okowa, who they are saying took N1.one thing trillion, his sins are forgiven. He’s now about going again to the Senate. It could be recalled that on October 15, 2024, the operatives of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested and quizzed Okowa for per week over alleged fraud.
Okowa’s arrest was confirmed by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, who said that Okowa was investigated and detained over the alleged diversion of N1.3 trillion.
The N1.3 trillion reportedly represents the 13% derivation fund from the federation account between 2015 and 2023.
