Israeli occupation warplanes bombed a mosque and its surrounding area in the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday evening.
Safa news agency’s correspondent said Israeli aircraft destroyed Al-Nour Mosque and the surrounding area in Block 9, south-east of Bureij refugee camp. The mosque was reportedly demolished after the Israeli army ordered the evacuation of the surrounding area.
In northern Gaza, the correspondent said Israeli warplanes struck a house near the Jabalia refugee camp police station.
The correspondent added that Israeli warplanes were flying at low altitude over several areas across the Gaza Strip.
Evacuation warnings were also issued for parts of the Zeitoun neighbourhood east of Gaza City, which has been under Israeli military operations for several days, as well as the Beit Lahia Project area in the northern Gaza Strip.
The warnings prompted residents to flee the affected areas amid widespread panic.
The Israeli military has continued carrying out operations and strikes in the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October last year.
