‘It Will Boomerang Against You’ – Oshoma Warns Tinubu Against Cover-Up Of Nnaji’s Scandal

A human rights lawyer, Liborous Oshoma, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu against allowing powerful politicians in his administration to cover up the certificate scandal of former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji.
Naijaonpoint reports that the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) confirmed Nnaji’s arrest on Wednesday night.
According to a statement on Wednesday by the Commission, Nnaji was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, with the assistance of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The ICPC explained that the former Minister was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by the Federal High Court after ignoring several invitations to appear for investigative interviews.
The Commission confirmed that Nnaji is now in its custody for further investigation.
Speaking on the development, Oshoma, during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ programme, raised concerns over the clearance process for the ex-minister before he was appointed to that position.
While urging the All Progressives Congress (APC) to prosecute Nnaji, Oshoma said it is an opportunity for the ruling party to show they are not a party that is inhabited by certificate forgers.
He said, “If APC wants to show that they are not a party that is inhabited by certificate forgers, this is one such opportunity for them to prosecute.
“Whether politics is involved, or whether his opponents want to latch onto it, that is entirely left to him because a man who brought ant-infested wood to his house invited chickens to be his playmates. It’s an Igbo proverb.
“Tinubu should not to allow all these powerful people in government to intervene so as to give this man a soft landing, because when that happens, it will boomerang against the president.”
