The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) recently honoured outstanding candidates with special needs, distinguished members of staff, and tertiary institutions that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to inclusive education and service excellence.
The awards were presented during the conference on “National Engagement on f Inclusive Higher Education and Artificial Intelligence” organised by the JAMB Equal Opportunity Group (JEOG) at the National Universities Commission (NUC) Auditorium, Abuja.
The three highest-scoring candidates with special needs in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), who received award, were Ogunsola Segun Quadri, Haruna Nuhu Yusuf, and Duaknaan John Nitmoen.
The Board also recognised Bello Muzzammil Muhammad; Auwal Ahmed Bello, Dubem Eagle Ikechukwu, Olugbenga Joseph Adebayo, Modupe Yetunde Aloba, alongside other deserving members of staff, for their exceptional courage, resilience, and outstanding commitment to service delivery in advancing the Board’s mandate.
Furthermore, in recognition of their commitment to inclusive admissions, certificates of excellence were presented to tertiary institutions that admitted the highest number of candidates with special needs during the 2025 admission exercise.
