Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Appoints New Advisers, Board Chairmen to Strengthen Governance

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has approved the appointment of new advisers, board chairmen and members of key government agencies as part of efforts to strengthen governance and advance his administration’s development agenda. The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa.

Among the new appointments, Hon. Audu Maikori was named Chief Strategic Adviser on Inter-Governmental Affairs, Umar Uba Maicitta was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations, while Aminu Mohammed Gusau will serve as Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communications.

Governor Sani also appointed Dr. Ibrahim Umar as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Kaduna State University, alongside other members representing the state’s three senatorial zones and the organised private sector.

Lawal Umar Meyere was named Chairman of the Kaduna Mining Development Company Management Board, while Tanko Kokwain will chair the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority Management Board. Other appointments include David Umar Gurara as Chairman of the Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency and Yakubu El Saad Lere as Chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Board.

The state government said the appointments were based on competence, experience and commitment to public service.Governor Sani urged the appointees to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, transparency and integrity in the interest of Kaduna State’s development.
