Kano Speaker Praises Yusuf’s Development Projects, Backs ₦500m Constituency Initiative

The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration for its development projects and the allocation of ₦500 million for constituency projects by lawmakers. Falgore made the remarks in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Saturday.

The Speaker highlighted government interventions in healthcare, education, youth and women empowerment, potable water supply and agriculture, saying the projects were contributing to development across the state. He described the allocation of ₦500 million for constituency projects as an initiative aimed at promoting inclusive governance and accelerating development in communities across Kano State.

Falgore also commended the approval and construction of the new Kano State House of Assembly complex, describing the facility as a landmark that would support effective legislative activities and public service. He expressed confidence in the administration’s performance and said he hoped Governor Yusuf would secure a second term, citing what he described as his record of achievements.

The Speaker also commended the Managing Director of Radio Kano, Abubakar Adamu, and the station’s management for their commitment to public service. Falgore reaffirmed the Assembly’s support for policies and projects focused on good governance, accountability and sustainable development in Kano State.
