Jelicia Westhoff, the mother of Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye’s child, is preparing to take legal action over alleged fake social media direct messages circulating online.
Reports indicate that Westhoff met with her legal team after screenshots were shared online claiming to show a private conversation in which she allegedly denied past domestic abuse claims against the footballer.
A source close to Westhoff clarified that while she did exchange brief messages with an unknown individual in August regarding the player’s relationship status, the circulating screenshots claiming she denied abuse allegations were fabricated.
The ongoing controversy comes amid public attention surrounding Okoye, who was recently seen in public with American rapper Cardi B during event appearances in Europe.
Westhoff and Okoye share a son together, and her legal team is currently reviewing options to address the fake messages published online.
