Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P of the music duo P-Square, has opened up about the challenges surrounding the group’s reunion, revealing that the family has been battling internal issues for years.

The singer made the revelation while addressing the expectations of fans who had hoped to see the legendary duo fully reunited and working together peacefully.

According to Mr P, his biggest desire was to preserve the bond between his family members and bring back the iconic P-Square brand that fans had missed. However, he admitted that despite efforts to make things work, unresolved issues continued to affect their relationship.

“All I wanted was to keep the family together, all the fans wanted was to have P-Square. Now we gave you guys P-Square, and the family has been fighting for years, for 4 years. I can’t accept the shame of making the fans think we’re okay, we’re not okay,” Mr P said.

The singer explained that pretending everything was perfect would not be the right thing to do, especially after fans invested their emotions in seeing the brothers reunite.
