Missing NYSC Corps Member Reportedly Found D+ad in Bayelsa

A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who was declared missing while serving in Bayelsa State has reportedly been found d+ad, bringing a tragic end to days of search efforts.
The deceased, identified as Okebaram Stanley Chimaroke, a Civil Engineering graduate and former Student Union Government president of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, was serving in Nembe Local Government Area when he reportedly disappeared.
According to reports, his lifeless body was allegedly recovered from a body of water in Nembe after he was reportedly att@cked by yet-to-be-identified assailants. However, authorities are yet to officially confirm the exact circumstances surrounding his d+ath.
The Bayelsa State Police Command had earlier launched a search after Chimaroke was reported missing. Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed that the missing person report was filed at about 8:40 p.m. on July 25, 2026, by fellow corps member Aribisola Bis Isaac, accompanied by Adeola Marvelous.
Police sources said the Local Government Inspector informed them that the 27-year-old corps member, who was posted to serve in Nembe Creek, was last seen at about 8:00 p.m. on July 24. Repeated attempts to reach him through his phone numbers reportedly failed, prompting security operatives to begin search and investigation efforts.
Although reports now claim his body has been recovered, the Bayelsa State Police Command has yet to officially confirm the latest development or disclose the exact cause of his d+ath. Investigations are ongoing.
