Punjab man Gurpreet Singh added to FBI’s ‘most wanted’ over alleged drug trafficking, illegal arms trade
An Indian national from Punjab has been added to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Most Wanted list over his alleged involvement in an international organised crime network accused of drug trafficking, firearms offences and racketeering.According to the FBI, Gurpreet Singh is wanted for his alleged role in the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Organised Crime Group, which originated in Punjab and is alleged to have operated in California and other parts of the United States.The agency alleged that the group was involved in racketeering, trafficking controlled substances and operating an unlicensed firearms business. Singh is wanted on allegations including racketeer-influenced and corrupt organisations (RICO) conspiracy, as well as offences related to dealing in firearms without a licence, and the distribution and possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, along with distribution of controlled substances. The FBI said a federal arrest warrant for Singh was issued on June 25, 2026, by the US District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles. He has been charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances with intent to distribute, and distribution of controlled substances.
Second Indian national added to list
Singh is the second Indian national to be added to the FBI’s Most Wanted list in recent days.Earlier this week, the agency announced that it was seeking Amritpal Singh over his alleged involvement in the Ravinder Dhanda Organised Crime Group, a Vancouver-based criminal organisation accused of smuggling cocaine and methamphetamine across the United States, Canada and Mexico.Amritpal is wanted for alleged offences including conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances with intent to distribute, conspiracy to export controlled substances, and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.A federal arrest warrant for Amritpal Singh was issued on June 23, 2026, by the US District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles.
