Raining Season Thievery: Area Boys Tie Thief To Pillar, Whip Him Mercilessly After They Caught Him Stealing 

A video circulating on social media shows a thief being physically assaulted by a group of individuals inside what appears to be a bar or club, after he was allegedly caught attempting to steal from patrons at the establishment.

The footage, captioned “Hot hot” by the person who shared it, shows multiple individuals striking the suspected thief in a chaotic scene, with onlookers watching from the surrounding area.

The identity of the accused, the specific nature of the alleged theft, and the location of the incident have not been confirmed.

While members of the public have a right to detain individuals caught in the act of a crime and hand them over to law enforcement, the law does not permit assault or mob beatings as a form of punishment.

Individuals who participate in such extrajudicial violence risk prosecution regardless of the guilt of the person targeted.
