Businesswoman Sharon Adeleke, the sister of Nigerian music star Davido, has encouraged celebrities and public figures to embrace outfit repetition without feeling ashamed.
Speaking in a recent vlog, Sharon said there is nothing wrong with wearing the same clothes more than once, urging public figures not to allow societal expectations or online criticism dictate their fashion choices.
According to her, members of her team have occasionally questioned her decision to rewear outfits, but she remains firm in her belief that repeating clothes should be normalised rather than frowned upon.
Sharon maintained that celebrities should feel comfortable wearing their favourite outfits multiple times instead of giving in to the pressure of constantly appearing in new clothing.
Her words…
“Last Sunday, I have an event and I did not have anything made for it. So, I decided to wear something that I have wore before and my team objected that people have seen it before and they will see it again. But I wore it anyway.
“Don’t let anybody tell you you can’t repeat your clothes. I will re-rock as many times as I like. I am not going to let anybody put unnecessary pressure on me.
“Don’t be afraid to repeat your clothes. Re-rock as many times as you like.”
