The mother of the late Favour Agbro has spoken about the death of her daughter, who committed suicide after alleging that she was sexually assaulted by Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba

Speaking in an interview with BBC Pidgin, Favour’s mother said her daughter was deeply affected by threats Ogbonna made against her. She said Ogbonna threatened to use the “juju” of his town to kill Favour. Watch D Video Here ➤

The mother stated that the immense pressure and fear forced her daughter into taking a toxic substance. She alleged that Odogwu of Asaba threatened to swear on the gods of his hometown to harm Favour if she spoke up or reported him.

Favour’s family has spoken out about the overwhelming financial distress they are facing. Her twin sister reported that they incurred a ₦7 million debt trying to save Favour’s life at the hospital, and they are appealing to the public for financial assistance.
