“You Could Create a Bigger Problem” – VDM Warns Sunday Igboho Over Alleged Assault on Northerners

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has cautioned Yoruba nation agitator Sunday Igboho and his team to exercise restraint and conduct proper investigations while carrying out operations against suspected bandits, warning that innocent people could become victims if due process is ignored.

His comments followed a viral video allegedly showing members of Sunday Igboho’s group beating some Northerners after accusing them of being bandits.

Reacting to the footage, VeryDarkMan said he watched the entire video and stressed that tackling insecurity should not result in the creation of a bigger problem through wrongful targeting of innocent people.

“Sunday Igboho, I saw a video where your boys were beating some Northerners after accusing them of being bandits. I watched the entire video, and this is the truth: you and your boys have to be really careful while carrying out this job. In the quest to solve one problem, you could end up creating another that may be even bigger than the one on the ground.

“Do proper investigations and carry out due diligence. I will also advise your team to use body cameras or go along with a cameraman. You can’t always come out to say you were involved in a g√n battle.”
