In a sharp Contrast to the expectations of Christian youths in Niger state , the African Democratic Congress ADC governorship Candidate in the state Alhaji Mohammed Kpautagi has unveiled another Muslim -Muslim ticket as he picked Hon Mamman Musa from Bosso as running mate.
Some Christian youths have threatened not vote for any governorship candidate running on Muslim- Muslim ticket following the All Progressives Congress APC candidate and the incumbent Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago choice of running Mate and was looking forward to the ADC not to toe same line.
It was an expectation dashed, as the ADC candidate Dr Kpautagi unveiled a Muslim former Commissioner for Works Alhaji Mamman Musa as his running mate.
Kpautagi described his choice as the best for the job being a young man that will carry the youth along and was optimistic that the ADC will unseat the Mohammed Bago administration in 2027 because they have the support of the people.
” We will embark on campaign devoid of muddling and character assassination ours will be issue based campaign” he declared
.Kpautagi submitted that one of the covenant of the party is ” Security first” adding that under an ADC government in the state “No one will sleep with fear”
According to him, if elected his government will support traders and farmers and the youths by bringing industries back as well as create the environment easy for small businesses to grow.
Also speaking the State Chairman of the party Alhaji Ahmed El -waziri commended the huge turn out of party faithfuls describing it as sign of dedication and absolute loyalty to the party.
