Quranic reciters in Zamfara State on Sunday offered special prayers for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and former Governor Sen. Abdulaziz Yari ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The prayer session was organised by the United Youth Scholars for Preaching and Guidance in the state capital, Gusau. The reciters were in their thousands at the venue.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the association, Mallam Naziru Ibrahim Buda, said the gathering was convened to seek Allah’s blessings for the Tinubu-Shettima administration and the APC Presidential Campaign Council, which is headed by Senator Yari.
“We organised the recitation of the Holy Quran to seek Allah’s blessings for the success of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima,” Buda said.
“We also appreciate President Bola Tinubu for appointing Senator Abdulaziz Yari as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.”
Buda disclosed that the group had recently embarked on peace prayers across the 14 local government areas of Zamfara and would soon commence grassroots mobilisation to sensitise communities to the achievements of the Federal Government.
He added that the scholars recognised Senator Yari’s philanthropic gestures towards vulnerable people across the state, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare and economic empowerment.
The former Zamfara governor and APC chieftain, Sen. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, was represented at the event by Aminu Adamu Dankwangila.
Dankwangila expressed appreciation to the gathering for its unwavering support for Senator Yari and assured the attendees that the APC leadership would continue to work for the unity and progress of Nigeria.
The prayer session featured the recitation of several chapters of the Holy Quran and special supplications for peace, security and economic prosperity in Zamfara and the nation at large.
