Adeleke Commissions 10.4KM Edunabon-Tonkere Road, Rallies Ife North For August 15

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Friday, commissioned the 10.4KM Edunabon-Tonkere Road, describing it as proof that his administration is spreading democratic dividends to every corner of the state without discrimination.
The newly completed road connects several farming and trading communities and is expected to boost socio-economic activities across the area.
A statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, stated that a town hall meeting with traditional rulers after the commissioning, the monarchs praised the Adeleke for fulfilling his campaign promises.
Speaking on their behalf, the Alakinlalu of Akinlalu, Oba Oluwabusola Oloyede, said: “When you came and made this promise to us, no one believed you would accomplish what you have done for us today.”

From Ife North, the governor took his re-election campaign to Ipetumodu, where he addressed a massive crowd and urged voters not to be intimidated ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
“We know that Osun belongs to us. You must be bold, be fearless, and nothing will happen to you,” Adeleke declared.
He called on security agencies and Nigerians to defend democracy and warned against voter intimidation and violence.
“Nigeria must be ready to defend democracy. If we truly want to practise democracy, then we must practise it the right way. Police officers who have children of their own are escorting APC thugs to attack and kill people. It is not that we are afraid, but we are deliberately choosing peace. They do not want us to vote, but we will use our votes to chase them out of Osun completely. Do not be intimidated or afraid,” the governor stated.
Governor Adeleke expressed confidence in his re-election bid, adding, “I know we have already won, and by August 15, we will be celebrating,” he said.
