Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, promising to deliver the state’s votes to the President.
Adeleke made the commitment on Sunday during a meeting with the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ajibola Basiru.
The governor, who said he does not make promises he cannot keep, stressed that political commitments should be guided by integrity and sincerity.
He maintained that his support for Tinubu was genuine, insisting that his pledge to deliver Osun State for the President was not an empty political statement.
“I don’t make empty promises. When I said we will deliver Osun State votes to our dear father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I meant it 100 per cent.

“Politics must be with integrity. We are all from Osun State. Let’s forget our differences and work for the President,” Adeleke said.
The governor said his political position was influenced by the values instilled in him by his late father, whom he described as a diplomat and labour union politician.
Adeleke’s declaration is significant given the political dynamics in Osun State, where the governor belongs to the Accord Party, while Tinubu is the candidate of the ruling APC.
Despite the political differences between the two parties, Adeleke said Osun residents should set aside their disagreements and work together in support of the President ahead of the 2027 election.
The governor’s pledge also comes amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, with politicians across party lines declaring their positions and negotiating alliances.
His promise to deliver Osun votes to Tinubu could further fuel discussions over the evolving political relationship between the governor and the President as the 2027 election approaches.
