Again, Joe Igbokwe’s Anambra residence attacked as criminals vandalise building

Some criminal elements have reportedly attacked the residence of an All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, in Nnewi, Anambra State.

Igbokwe disclosed the incident in a post he shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday.

He recalled a similar incident that occurred at the residence in October 2021 when suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, attacked the area.

Igbokwe lamented that he has been unable to “rebuild the house given the monumental damage visited on the property”.

“Last week thieves invaded the house again and stole electricity cables and generator batteries. After two weeks they came back to remove air conditioners,” he added.

He noted that the incident has since been reported to stakeholders and security agencies operating within the community.

“I do not want to take war to Nnewi but idiots continue to underrate me. I have reported the matter to our Traditional Ruler, the Obi of  Uruagu Nnewi.

“I have also reported the matter to the Vigilante Group in our community. I advise the criminals in Nnewi to stay away from my home In Uruagu Nnewi. To be forewarned is to be forearmed,” Igbokwe warned.
