Nigerian businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC) over its approach to elections, claiming that the ruling party relies on electoral manipulation because it lacks sufficient popularity in Osun State.
Fayose made the remarks while discussing the political atmosphere ahead of the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
According to him, the APC is aware that it does not enjoy enough support among voters in the state and would therefore resort to alleged electoral irregularities to gain an advantage.
“All APC knows how to do is rig elections. They know they are not popular in Osun,” Fayose said.
His comments come amid growing political attention on the state as major political parties prepare for the governorship contest.
