Popular Anambra comedian and media personality Isaac Nwosu, popularly known as Aiza Nwosu, has reportedly been sh%t de@d by unidentified g¥nmen in Awka, Anambra State.
Nwosu was reportedly att@cked on SM Okeke Street on Sunday while driving his Hilux truck, which was fitted with loudspeakers.
According to sources, the assailants allegedly monitored the comedian and trailed him from his residence in a Toyota Corolla with tinted windows before launching the att@ck.
He reportedly d!ed inside the vehicle after being sh%t, while music continued to play from the sound system. His truck was said to have ended up in a ditch, suggesting that he may have been caught off guard during the att@ck.
Nwosu was a familiar figure in Awka, where he was known for driving around the city with his sound truck to make public announcements. He also used the vehicle to announce obituaries and other community messages on the streets, making his voice and presence well known to residents.
His reported de@th came amid multiple att@cks recorded in parts of Awka on Sunday, with reports stating that three people were k!lled and several others injured.
Earlier, two men were reportedly sh%t de@d in the Amaenyi area. The incident allegedly triggered a stampede that left several people injured.
The circumstances surrounding Nwosu’s de@th remain unclear, although claims concerning cult activities have emerged. While some people maintained that the comedian had no history of cult membership, others alleged that his son was a member of the Vikings Confraternity. The claims have not been independently confirmed.
