Ahead of the 2027 general election, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari, has assured Nigerians that the party would fulfill all promises to them.
Yari gave the assurance while speaking on his arrival from an from an overseas trip at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Sunday where he was received by a large crowd of supporters.
The former Zamfara governor maintained that the ruling APC is a party that is totally committed to fulfilling its promises to the people.
“I want to assure Nigerians that whatever promise we made during campaign, we shall keep to our promises,” Yari stated. “Today we have seen him [Bola Ahmed Tinubu] as President today and by God’s grace he shall be the president come 2027,” he said.
Yari thanked his supporters for the reception, attributing their presence to a shared national vision and spiritual support for the administration.
“The crowd are here to pray for me and for the success of Mr. President,” he remarked, adding, “Our party is synonymous for keeping to our words. We pray that Almighty Allah will give him [the President] the wisdom to lead this country. We assure Nigerians that we shall fulfill all our campaign promises.
“We pray that our party will continue to be the party to lead the country after President Tinubu’s second term,” the federal lawmaker said.
President Tinubu had on Saturday unveiled the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the January 16, 2027 presidential election.
The council has Senator Yari as Director-General while Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state is Secretary of the campaign council.
A statement by Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, said President Tinubu is chairman of the council and Vice President Kashim Shettima is the first vice chairman.
