Festival Of Thieves: Peller Restricts White Wedding To 100 Guests After Phone Theft Scandal

Panic and embarrassment have trailed the traditional wedding ceremony of popular content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, after several guests allegedly lost their mobile phones during the event, forcing the influencer to tighten security ahead of his forthcoming white wedding.

Speaking on Monday, in a video shared on X and Facebook platforms, Peller said he had been overwhelmed by complaints from affected guests and had spent part of his own money replacing some of the stolen phones.

He described the situation as distressing and far more serious than he initially thought.

The visibly upset content creator apologised to those affected and said he never imagined that theft would occur at a celebration meant to unite family, friends and supporters.

He lamented that the incident had overshadowed what should have been a memorable occasion.

“I have been receiving calls from people saying their phones were stolen at my wedding. I have even bought some phones for people already. This is not funny anymore,” he said.

Reacting further to the incident, Peller announced tighter security arrangements for the couple’s upcoming white wedding.

He said attendance would be strictly by invitation and that only 100 guests would be allowed into the venue.

According to him, the restriction became necessary after the unpleasant experience at the traditional ceremony. He said he was determined to ensure that invited guests would be able to attend the white wedding without fear of theft or harassment.

Peller also warned uninvited persons, touts and gatecrashers to stay away from the event, stressing that anyone without an invitation would not be granted access to the venue.

He added that security personnel had been directed to enforce the new measures strictly.

The content creator explained that he and Jarvis wanted the white wedding to be orderly, secure and enjoyable for guests, adding that the couple preferred a smaller and more controlled gathering rather than a crowded celebration that could create security challenges.

The traditional wedding between Peller and Jarvis attracted significant attention online, with videos from the ceremony circulating widely across social media platforms and drawing congratulatory messages from fans and fellow entertainers.

However, reports of missing phones quickly became one of the dominant talking points after the event.
