The national secretary of the pro-Tinubu advocacy group, Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, Mr Eleojo Obaje Audu, has urged the people of Anambra State and the wider South-East to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
Audu made the call yesterday when some political stakeholders and advocacy groups from the region converged on Awka, the Anambra State capital, for the group’s maiden zonal town hall meeting.
He said Tinubu deserved another term, citing what he described as the administration’s achievements in the South-East.
“Looking at what President Bola Tinubu has done for the region, he deserves a second term so that he can fulfil his promises to the region,” Audu said.
He also expressed appreciation to the people of Anambra and the larger South East for hosting the meeting and participating actively in the programme.
The group’s South East zonal coordinator, Chief JohnBosco Onunkwo, said several socioeconomic projects implemented by the Tinubu administration.
He listed regional infrastructure development, improvements in workers’ welfare, expanded access to education through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and agricultural support for farmers in the region.
“This gathering serves to take the message of progress and continuity directly to the grassroots,” Onunkwo said.
He identified the establishment of the South-East Development Commission as a major initiative that could expand the region’s industrial potential.
Speaking on behalf of the group’s Director-General, Dr Farida Deborah Ibrahim, the National Director of Town Hall and Special Duties, stressed the importance of regional stability and improved security.
She also highlighted the NELFUND initiative and federal partnerships aimed at strengthening commercial hubs across the South-East.
The town hall was attended by several national and zonal executives of the organisation, including the National Director of Liaison, Hon Zion Igwemma; National Youth Leader, Hon Umar Farouk; Director of Student and Youth Engagement, Comrade Adakole Ochai; and Director of Welfare, Ms Rahma Umar.
Others included the Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Musa Abdulrahman; Director of Contact and Mobilisation, Mr Lulu Famweihmi; Director of Administration, Ms Miriam Okonkwo; Deputy Director of Strategy and Deployment, Ms Shalom Edigan; Deputy Director of Humanitarian Affairs, Mr Charles Ibefuna; and Deputy Director of Contact and Mobilisation, Precious Zimat.
