He Was Correcting Me — Wife Says As Husband Beats Her Mercilessly, Swells Her Eyes With Punches

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after defending her husband’s actions following an incident in which she appeared with a swollen eye, describing the situation as a form of “correction.”

In a video shared on social media, the woman explained that she had offended her husband and accepted what happened as a lesson, insisting that she would not repeat the behaviour.

“There’s nothing bad about it. I offended my husband and he corrected me. I won’t do that again. It’s okay to be corrected,” she said.

However, the nature of the “correction” has generated concern among many social media users, with critics pointing out that the visible injury on her face appeared to suggest physical violence rather than a simple correction.

The incident has reignited conversations about domestic violence, with many questioning whether physical assault should ever be accepted as a way of resolving disagreements in relationships.

Some users argued that disagreements between couples should be handled through communication and mutual respect, while others expressed concern that normalising violence in marriages could encourage abusive behaviour.
