Online personality and writer Solomon Buchi has criticized Pastor Tobi Adegboyega over comments he believes appear to trivialize the reality of hellfire.
Buchi took to social media to stress his belief that hell is real, arguing that Christians should not dismiss or downplay biblical teachings about eternal punishment.
According to him, anything clearly stated in Scripture should be taken seriously, particularly when it concerns matters of faith and eternity.
“Hell is real. If it’s written in scriptures, it is real,” Buchi stated.
His reaction was directed at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, whose remarks on the subject reportedly sparked discussion online.
Buchi maintained that conversations about hell should not be treated as mere religious rhetoric or something to be brushed aside. He emphasized that biblical teachings should be approached with seriousness, especially when they relate to the consequences of one’s spiritual choices.
The comments have since generated reactions among social media users, with some agreeing with Buchi’s position while others offered differing interpretations of Christian teachings on hell, salvation and eternal judgment.

@Xharon💎✨:”Omo see as false prophet just dey gleering and written all over him and people are still blind to it🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️”
@Dr. Signor🇳🇬🇬🇧:”Hell is clearly taught in scripture, so it’s fair for people to push back when it feels downplayed. At the same time, the full context of what Pastor Tobi said matters. Sometimes these clips can sound harsher than the actual sermon. Healthy disagreement on doctrine is fine as long as it stays respectful.”
