Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez has removed social media posts he made about celebrity chef Hilda Baci after her legal representatives issued a formal demand letter.

The singer, whose real name is Afolabi Oluwaseyi Balogun, had taken to social media on August 14, 2026, with two posts concerning Hilda Baci, sparking reactions among social media users.

In one of the posts, Seyi Vibez wrote: “Na Hilda Baci BBL all una catalogue money dey go All of una Dey craze and una mama.” He later made another post referencing the chef’s food.

The singer’s remarks came amid an ongoing dispute involving his former record label boss, Dapper, which had generated discussions within the Nigerian entertainment industry.

However, the situation took a legal turn on August 15, when Lagos-based law firm Olaniwun Ajayi LP issued a demand letter to Seyi Vibez on behalf of Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci.

In the letter, the law firm accused the singer’s posts of containing defamatory and malicious content and referenced possible breaches of provisions of Nigeria’s Cybercrimes Act.

Among the demands made by Hilda Baci’s legal team was the immediate removal of the posts from Seyi Vibez’s social media accounts.

The singer was also asked to issue a public apology and retract the statements across his social media platforms. His legal representatives further demanded that he urge his followers to refrain from harassing or targeting Hilda Baci.

The letter reportedly gave Seyi Vibez three days to provide a written undertaking confirming compliance with the demands.

The legal team warned that failure to meet the demands within the stipulated period could lead to further legal action without additional notice.

Following the development, Seyi Vibez has since taken down the posts relating to Hilda Baci, drawing fresh attention to the dispute online.
