Israeli Researcher Calls for Treating Qatar as ‘Hostile State’

An Israeli researcher has described Qatar as a hostile state and called for Israel to adopt a comprehensive strategy to deal with it.
In an article published by the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS), Israeli researcher Ariel Admoni urged Israel to treat Qatar as a “hostile state”, citing what he described as Doha’s media influence across various sectors.
Admoni also recommended coordinated political, economic, legal and media measures, including the establishment of a specialised centre to study Qatari influence. He called for efforts to target Qatar-linked specific businesses and institutions in the United States and Europe, rather than pursuing military escalation or direct propaganda campaigns.
“A sophisticated, well-coordinated campaign could restrain and weaken a dangerous state that acts against Israel on multiple fronts and has, for the most part, faced no meaningful response,” Admoni said.
