JAMB releases fresh update for 2026 candidates over admission status

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has urged candidates who have received admission offers for the 2026/2027 academic session to log into their profiles and accept or reject the offers without delay.
The board advised candidates to regularly check their admission status on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), as new offers may be uploaded at any time. JAMB’s CAPS portal currently shows admission processing for the 2026/2027 session.
Candidates who receive an offer are required to take action on the platform by selecting either “Accept Admission” or “Reject Admission.”
To check their status, candidates are expected to log into their JAMB e-Facility accounts, select Admission Status and access CAPS.
JAMB has also reminded candidates awaiting O’level results to upload their results on the portal, as candidates will not be considered for admission until relevant results are uploaded and verified.
The board’s admission guidelines also state that valid admissions from tertiary institutions must be processed through JAMB CAPS and reflected on the e-Facility platform.
Candidates have therefore been advised to monitor their profiles regularly to avoid missing admission offers or updates.
Meanwhile, JAMB has continued to strengthen its systems for the verification of candidates’ academic qualifications, with results submitted through its platform subject to verification by the relevant awarding institutions.
