NCDMB, Ofy Multi Dynamic Ltd Complete GSM Phone Repairs Training For 50 Youths In Kaduna

Kaduna, August 7, 2026– The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with Ofy Multi Dynamic Ltd, has successfully concluded a 2-week intensive training on _GSM Phone Repairs and Maintenance_ for 50 youths in Kaduna State.
The program, which began two weeks ago and ended today, was designed to equip young Nigerians with practical, hands-on skills in mobile phone repairs to boost self-employment, entrepreneurship, and local capacity in the telecommunications value chain.
Participants were trained on key areas including phone hardware and software troubleshooting, screen and battery replacement, soldering techniques, unlocking, flashing, virus removal, and customer service.
The curriculum also covered business management and quality assurance to help the beneficiaries start and sustain their own repair businesses.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, representatives
of NCDMB said the training aligns with the Board’s mandate to deepen Nigerian Content through skills acquisition and youth empowerment.
He noted that with the growing dependence on mobile devices, GSM repair services remain a high-demand trade with huge economic opportunities.
The lead facilitator from Ofy Multi Dynamic Ltd commended the participants for their dedication and discipline throughout the training.
He assured that the skills acquired will position the youths to be job creators rather than job seekers.
The 50 beneficiaries expressed gratitude to NCDMB and Ofy Multi Dynamic Ltd, describing the training as timely and life-changing. Many said they are ready to set up shops and support themselves and their families.
As part of the program, participants received starter packs including repair tool kits, certificates of completion, and financial support to enable them start small-scale businesses immediately.
NCDMB reaffirmed its commitment to rolling out more technical and vocational training programs across the country to reduce unemployment and strengthen the pool of skilled Nigerian technicians in line with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act.
The successful completion of the Kaduna training adds to the Board’s ongoing efforts to drive human capital development and economic empowerment for Nigerian youths.
