Nikki Garcia Is Good With Flying Solo Forever After Artem Chigvintsev Split

Nikki Garcia is no longer worried about getting back into the dating pool.

Nearly two years after her split from Artem Chigvintsev, the former WWE star confessed to her twin sister that she is completely at peace with being alone.

Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev first connected as partners on “Dancing With the Stars” before reconnecting years later. They welcomed their son Matteo and married in 2022, but their relationship unraveled after a rollercoaster in 2024, and they finalized their divorce later that year.

Garcia made her position on single life clear during her latest podcast conversation on “The Nikki & Brie Show.” She said she does not fear being alone, even if she never finds another relationship. The 42-year-old added that she is “completely at peace” with that possibility.

Her twin sister, Brie Garcia, appeared to agree with her on how significant that mindset was. Brie described her sister’s stance on being single as “pretty big.” Nikki, however, made it clear that she does not feel like anything is missing.

“I don’t feel the need to have it,” Garcia said about having a romantic relationship. She followed that up with another statement, “I don’t need it.” Her comments show how differently she now views love after the end of her marriage.

Chigvintsev pulled back the curtain on the surreal collapse of his marriage and television career. Speaking on an April 2026 episode of the “Penthouse With Peta” podcast, Chigvintsev described the fallout as a “bad dream” that forced him into survival mode.

As reported by The Blast, he admitted the dramatic 2024 split “needed to happen” to successfully end what he openly characterized as an “unhealthy” marriage.

The performer confessed he originally wanted to sacrifice his own personal happiness to keep both parents present for their son. However, his reality star ex-wife was already researching the concept of the “divine feminine” to evaluate her domestic patterns. Garcia realized in December 2024 that she carries absolutely no responsibility to fix or repair other people.

The TV host urged her listeners to set firm boundaries before reaching a state of total emotional exhaustion. Despite the intense pain of their legal transition, the exes managed to build a strong co-parenting dynamic by September. Garcia openly praised how her ex-husband adapted to her weekly travel schedule to care for their young son.

The Diva Sparked Dating Rumor

The WWE diva sparked massive online dating rumors in December 2025 after documenting a festive trip to Philadelphia. Fans immediately went wild when Garcia shared an Instagram reel featuring her broadly smiling right in front of Cooper DeJean’s football locker. The viral video also featured a late-night post-game celebration where the pair were spotted looking incredibly cozy.

The internet frenzy intensified because the 42-year-old wrestler and the 22-year-old Eagles star frequently exchange social media likes. The Blast shared that the retired athlete previously admitted she harbored deep physical insecurities about dating a much younger man after childbirth. She explicitly noted that she could see herself falling in love again, but a legal marriage is forever off the table.

The independent mother flatly denied the ongoing romance rumors during a subsequent episode of her weekly podcast. She expressed immense frustration with the public narrative, proclaiming that she hasn’t actually been intimate with anyone in a really long time. She found the harsh public labels ironic since she has been intentionally avoiding physical intimacy altogether.

Garcia Has Also Closed The Door On Having More Children

The media personality officially addressed her post-divorce future during her first major interview since the highly publicized split. Two months after settling her divorce through mediation, Garcia firmly shut down the idea of ever expanding her family.

She said that she definitely does not want any more kids because being a mother to Matteo keeps her occupied. The Blast reported in January 2025 that Garcia had “definitely” decided she did not want more children. She explained that she was finally getting through the toddler years and did not want to start over.

Garcia joked that she was already “chugging cold brews” just to keep up with playground life. She revealed that she relied heavily on her therapist, her mother, Kathy Colace, and her twin sister to survive the initial public shock.

The television host also shared that her sister Brie actually felt the relationship should have ended long before it did. The twin sister always suspected they were simply two different people trying too hard to make things work. Garcia ultimately took a brief social media hiatus to face her trauma head-on and protect her young son’s privacy.

Garcia has made protecting Matteo one of her biggest priorities since the divorce. After taking a break from social media, she explained that her son’s privacy and protection came first. She also needed space to heal and face the trauma surrounding the end of her marriage.

Co-parenting with Chigvintsev has brought its own emotional challenges. Garcia admitted that adjusting to a schedule where each parent has specific days with Matteo was difficult for her. She said Matteo himself adjusted quickly and appeared unaffected by his parents’ separation.

Despite the painful history, Garcia has also acknowledged Chigvintsev’s efforts as a father. He adapted to her professional schedule and helped care for Matteo while she returned to wrestling. Garcia said he had been “amazing” and “great” at making their co-parenting arrangement work.

For Nikka Garcia, being alone is a life she no longer has to fear but embrace.
