OSUN 2026: Alabi Assures Electorates Of Adequate Security, Donates N1.1M In Ejigbo, Urges Vote For Adeleke

The Osun State Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. George Ibitayo Alabi, has assured residents of adequate security arrangements to protect voters and ensure a peaceful conduct of the August 15 governorship election across the state.

Alabi gave the assurance on Friday while addressing members of Accord in Ejigbo Local Government Area during the party’s general meeting. He also donated N1.1 million to support the party’s activities in the council.

The Commissioner and Accord leader in Ejigbo called on members and supporters to turn out en masse on election day and vote for the incumbent Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

Alabi said the people of Ejigbo and other parts of Osun State should not entertain any fear, stressing that the election would be conducted in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere.

“There should be no apprehension about violence or bloodshed during the exercise. The electoral process is expected to proceed without hitch,” he said.

He urged eligible voters to come out peacefully, exercise their civic responsibility and return to their homes after casting their votes.

The Commissioner also called on party members to remain united, peaceful and committed as the election approaches, adding that their collective responsibility was to mobilise voters and ensure a strong turnout for Governor Adeleke.

While reiterating his confidence in a peaceful election, Alabi appealed to all stakeholders, political parties and voters to uphold peace, respect the electoral process and allow the people to freely exercise their democratic rights.

He also lauded the generosity and commitment of notable politicians and party leaders in Ejigbo, describing their contributions to the development of the people and the political process as worthy of recognition.
