Police Nabs Three Suspected Armed Robbers , Ammunition, Weapons Recovered 

The Oyo State Police Command has recorded another breakthrough in its sustained efforts to rid the state of violent crimes with the arrest of three suspected armed robbers and the recovery of a firearm and ammunition.

Acting on credible intelligence regarding the activities of suspected armed robbers operating from a hideout within the Sabo-Mokola area of Ibadan, operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit conducted a coordinated raid on the identified apartment in the early hours of the day.

During the operation, three suspects identified as Tomiwa Ayomide (28 years), Haruna Kabiru (32 years), and Haruna Hassan alias “Malo” (32 years) were arrested.

A search conducted at the scene led to the recovery of one single-barrel locally made cut-to-size gun and seven cartridges.

The suspects are currently in police custody while investigations continue to determine their involvement in other criminal activities and to apprehend possible accomplices.

The Oyo State Police Command reiterates its commitment to protecting lives and property and urges residents to continue providing timely and credible information that will aid ongoing efforts at combating crime across the state.
