Police Storm Yola Crime Hotspots and Arrest 29 Suspects

Officers of the Yola Area Police Command conducted operations targeting criminal gathering points in the Adamawa State capital, resulting in the arrest of 29 individuals.
The sweeps also yielded recoveries of controlled substances and related items.
The operation, led by the Area Commander and executed on directive from the state’s Commissioner of Police ordering divisional officers statewide to eliminate locations serving as criminal bases, resulted in the seizure of dried plant matter suspected to be cannabis, tr@madol capsules, and wrapped quantities of suspected !llicit substances.
Recovered materials also included apparatus, ignition devices, bottles and other items believed to facilitate the consumption and distribution of controlled d₹ugs.
The 29 suspects remain in police custody as investigators determine their respective roles and pursue identification of additional individuals connected to the uncovered activities, according to a police statement released early Tuesday.
