R*pe Allegations: Poco Lee Reportedly on Remand in UK Prison, Next Court Hearing Set for September

  • Poco Lee is reportedly on remand in a UK prison over an alleged r*pe case, with UK-based media personality Oluomo claiming he has confirmed the development.
  • He said the dancer’s next court hearing is expected in the second week of September for a plea hearing.
  • The report comes amid separate sexual assault allegations made by rapper Ms Jorji and earlier unverified reports of Poco Lee’s alleged arrest.

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee is reportedly on remand in a UK prison over an alleged r*pe case, according to UK-based media personality Oluomo, who says he has confirmed the reports.

In a statement shared online, Oluomo said Poco Lee’s next court hearing is scheduled for the second week of September, when the entertainer is expected to enter a plea.

He explained that the plea hearing would typically involve the accused pleading either guilty or not guilty to the alleged offence.

Oluomo also said he plans to attend the court proceedings as part of his support for Nigerians in the United Kingdom.

“I can confirm that the reports are true.

Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison.

His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing. At this hearing, he will typically enter a plea of either guilty, meaning he admits to the offence, or not guilty, meaning he denies the offence.

I will also be attending the court proceedings as part of my support for the Nigerian community in the UK, to ensure that our fellow Nigerian receives the appropriate support during this difficult period of his life. Supporting members of our community in situations like this is something I do regularly, including visiting some of our community members who are currently in prison.

It is important that we allow the legal process to take its course. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”

The development comes amid earlier reports of Poco Lee’s alleged arrest in the UK over a sexual offence. However, reports published when the story first emerged noted that UK police and court authorities had not independently confirmed the arrest or details of the alleged case.

The controversy also followed separate allegations by US-based rapper Ms Jorji, who accused Poco Lee of attempting to sexually assault her and her girlfriend during an encounter in Dallas about two years ago. Those allegations have not been independently established by a court or law enforcement agency, and reports have noted that there is no verified information linking them to the reported UK case.

Poco Lee has not publicly addressed the allegations in the reports cited above.

The latest development has generated reactions online, with some Nigerians expressing concern about the entertainer’s situation and others urging the public to wait for the outcome of the legal process.
