The Engr. Dr Samuel Adjogbe Foundation, founded by former Executive Director, Project, Niger Delta Development Commission, Engr Dr Sam Adjogbe, has begun the application process for the third edition of its scholarship programme for deserving students of Delta Central Senatorial District in Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Delta State.
The scholarship programme, which has successfully supported previous deserving students for the last two editions, is to acknowledge academic performance and to assist students financially.
The undergraduate students eligible to apply are those studying Medicine and Surgery, Law, Linguistics/Urhobo and Mechanical Engineering who score an average CGPA of 3.50 or above.
According to a statement made available to newsmen, applicants are expected to send application letters addressed to the selection committee, stating their departments, levels of study, CGPAs, LGAs, DELSU identity cards, and phone numbers via [email protected].
The timeframe for the application is between Tuesday, July 28 and Thursday, August 27, 2026, while details supplied by applicants would be verified by the committee before the selection process begins.
Chairman of the Foundation, Engr Dr Samuel Adjogbe explained, “We are pleased to announce the commencement of applications for the third annual scholarship award programme, which is part of the Engr. Dr Samuel Adjogbe Foundation’s unwavering investment in education and Urhobo language development to support students who have set academic records”.
Speaking for the selection committee, Dr Moses Darah, a lecturer with the Delta State University, Abraka, added that successful applicants will receive varying sums of money from the Foundation to aid their academic pursuits, calling on eligible Deltans to avail themselves of the opportunity to get some financial support from the philanthropist and founder of the Foundation.
