Nigerian comedian and social commentator Mr Jollof has expressed frustration over the deteriorating condition of the Benin-Warri Road, calling on the Federal Government to urgently intervene.
Mr Jollof, in a recent reaction, lamented that Nigerians have continued to complain about the state of the road for more than two years, yet the situation remains a major concern for motorists and travellers.
Describing the current condition of the road as “crazy,” the comedian urged the Federal Government to take immediate steps to address the challenges facing commuters who depend on the major route.
“The Benin-Warri Road has become a different kind of m@dness. The FG should do something. We can’t keep complaining about this road for more than two years now. The current condition is crazy. The Federal Government needs to act,” he said.
Mr Jollof also linked the situation to the approaching festive season, noting that increased travel demand around December could make the challenges even worse for Nigerians.
He further expressed concern over the rising cost of airfares, accusing companies of taking advantage of the increased demand during the festive period.
“December is around the corner. Because of the rush, airfares have increased, and it’s really sad that companies are taking advantage of people. There is no human sympathy. Nigerians needs to speak up,” he added.
His comments have drawn attention to the difficulties faced by travellers as the end-of-year period approaches, with many Nigerians expected to embark on road journeys to different parts of the country.
