‘Tinubu Not Living Large, Walks To Office On Foot’ – NRS Chairman Adedeji
The Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, has said President Bola Tinubu does not move with a convoy, claiming the president walks from his residence to his office on foot.
Adedeji made the claim during an appearance on Sunday Politics on Channels Television, where he also spoke on the economy and tax reforms.
“Mr President goes from home to office on foot, not even driving except when he is going to the airport. I don’t know where you see the convoy,” he said.
The NRS boss was responding to criticisms that the Tinubu administration is “living large” amid economic hardship. He dismissed the claims as inaccurate, noting that the president eats once in a day.
“Before he became president, what was he riding? How much is an Escalade that the president of Nigeria cannot afford?” Adedeji asked.

He further argued that the president has cut down on foreign trips.
“He is not living large. In the last three months, he has not left the shore of Nigeria. It is from home to office,” he said.
Adedeji’s comments come amid public debate over government spending, the cost of governance, and the impact of economic reforms on citizens.
