“Very soon, Ratel political party is coming, prepare to vote for us” — VeryDarkMan announces
Social media activist VeryDarkMan has showcased the progress of a secondary school project in Ahoada, Rivers State, saying about N290 million has been spent on its construction.
The activist shared an update on the project in a viral video, highlighting the classrooms, school clinic, football field, fencing and other facilities.
VeryDarkMan links project to political ambition
While displaying the completed sections of the school, VeryDarkMan said the project reflected what he described as his commitment to accountability and quality.
He also announced that the “Ratel political party” would soon emerge, urging Nigerians to prepare to vote for the party in the future.
According to him, the school project was funded through donations and was being executed with close attention to how the money was spent.
VeryDarkMan said N290 million had so far been spent on the project, adding that the expenditure was properly documented.
Activist praises quality of construction
VeryDarkMan took viewers around the school, showing the classrooms, tiled floors, doors, walls and other sections of the facility.
He insisted that substandard materials were not used during construction.
He also showed the school clinic and other facilities, saying only minor finishing touches remained before the project would be completed.
The activist further displayed the football field and perimeter fence constructed around the school.
Burna Boy’s contribution acknowledged
VeryDarkMan credited Nigerian music star Burna Boy with supporting the project after he was reportedly asked to take charge of rebuilding the school.
He said Burna Boy had responded to the needs of people in the community by providing funding for the project.
VeryDarkMan said the musician’s intervention enabled the construction work to reach its current stage.
He also said Burna Boy’s face would be designed on a section of the school, with lighting added to the structure.
‘Show me any government school better than this’
Defending the project, VeryDarkMan challenged the government to present a public school that could match the standard of the facility.
He said the project demonstrated what could be achieved when funds were properly managed.
“Credibility, you cannot buy it with money,” he said, while stressing his belief in transparency and integrity.
VeryDarkMan said every naira spent on the project would be accounted for, adding that the remaining work would soon be completed.
